Bucharest is a city full of history and culture. It is the capital of Romania and is the country´s most populated city, as well as being the most important in terms of commerce, industry and culture. The city is one of the 10 most populated cities in Europe, with a total population of almost 2 million inhabitants, according to the 2011 census.

The best area to stay in Bucharest is without a doubt the city centre. First of all, practically all of the city´s most important monuments and emblematic squares can be found in this area. Secondly, the city centre has the best offering of hotels, restaurants and bars. Lipscani street is considered to be the heart of the magnificent old town, where you can find a large variety of bars and restaurants with a great atmosphere, as well as some excellent and reasonably priced hotels.

Life Dental Spa is located in the most vibrant and populated area of Bucharest, on the famous Victoriei Avenue, just a few steps away from the most important tourist attractions such as the National History Museum, the National Art Museum, the Romanian Athenaeum, the National Theater, the Cismigiu Park and the pedestrian area of the Old Center.

Sight Seeing

Once known as "Little Paris" for its elegant architecture, Romania's capital is rich with a colorful history that merges with its modern identity. The junction of architecture is superflous yet fascinating. Its Byzantine buildings; 16th-, 17th-, and 18th-century churches; Art Nouveau mansions; and spectacular Neoclassical facades have survived earthquakes, war, and later, communism. During that dark political era, somber block panel masonry left its imprint, as well as the gargantuan Palace of the Parliament, the prized creation of Nicolae Ceausescu.

The charm of Bucharest is revealed by exploring its sprawling city parks, admiring the works of art and exhibits at its excellent museums, and getting lost in the gritty yet charming lanes that fold through the Old Town. A stroll down Calea Victoriei, arguably one of the prettiest places to visit in the city, is an encounter with the country's grandest buildings and most meaningful monuments, all a testament to times gone by.
Exploring Bucharest is about understanding a complex past that is giving way to its modern sensibility as a booming European capital.

Bars

The street party scene in the old town is unique. Several streets in the pedestrian part of the old town get crowded with people, and bars and clubs there are frantically competing for customer attention. You will find multiple clubs right next to each other blasting out loud music, hostesses working to attract people in, and dancers dancing on the windows. The atmosphere is unque, and if you hit the spots that are right for you, the party scene can certainly be amazingly fun!

In Bucharest the rooftop bars are often referred to as "sky bars". The Nomad Skybar is in the party area of the old town, it’s easy to spot it. At the entrance you step into a glass lift that takes you from the street level to the bar. Once you enter the bar you can find additional stairs that lead to the rooftop where there is another small bar and tables with seating.

For a more striking rooftop experience check out Linea Closer To The Moon. It’s a very large rooftop bar with good views of Bucharest – a good sunset spot, and great vibes. The bar is known to put up igloo pods in the winter so you can enjoy this experience from within an igloo during the chilly months of winter.

For something a bit more traditional, inexpensive and local to the old town look out for Bodega La Mahala. It’s a stock standard, average, Romanian restaurant that offers a good Romanian menu at low prices. If you're lucky you might even get to try their spit roast, or their traditional stew cooked over a real fire.
